2025 FIA WEC Confirms 36-Car Entry List with Equal Hypercar, LMGT3 Split
The 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) will feature 36 cars, equally divided between Hypercar and LMGT3 classes, despite an increased entry cap of 40 cars for the season.
In the Hypercar class, eight major manufacturers will each field two factory cars, following the new "two-car" rule implementation. Aston Martin THOR Team joins the grid with two LMH-spec Valkyrie AMR-LMHs, featuring a naturally aspirated V12 engine, set for debut in Qatar this February.
Notable changes include Lamborghini Iron Lynx's withdrawal after a single season, and Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA's formal entry with two V-Series.Rs (No. 12 with Alex Lynn and No. 38 with Earl Bamber) following their split from Chip Ganassi Racing.
