After spending two SuperMotocross seasons with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna FC450, Christian Craig has signed a two-year contract with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing. Craig, who won the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX West Region Championship with Star Racing, will compete on a Yamaha YZ450F while also serving as a rider development coach for the team's 250cc racers.

"I'm so excited to be back with the Star Racing team," Craig expressed, acknowledging that his past two years away from the team were challenging due to injuries and bike-adjustment struggles. His new role combines racing with mentoring younger riders, drawing from his extensive experience in the sport.

Craig is currently recovering from elbow surgeries and a knee injury sustained at the last SMX round. While eager to begin training on the Yamaha, he's focusing on physical therapy and building strength for his return.

With the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross Series opening at Anaheim's Angel Stadium on January 11, Craig remains realistic about his comeback timeline. "I want to be 100-percent when I do come back," he emphasized, noting he'll likely have only a few weeks of bike training before the first round.

Despite placing eighth in the recent Pro Motocross Championship, Craig remains confident in his abilities on the Yamaha YZ450F, having previously secured podium finishes on the bike. His goals include recapturing his signature speed and competing at the front of the pack, determined to prove his worth to the team that welcomed him back.
