EVgo and Meijer Expand Fast-charging Network Across Ohio with New Installations
Nationwide charging network EVgo has partnered with Midwest supermarket chain Meijer to expand their EV charging infrastructure in Ohio. The collaboration builds upon their existing network of 24 charging stalls across six locations in Michigan and Ohio.
EVgo will now manage 14 of Ohio's 20 new EV charging locations, funded by the state's $13.8 million National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) allocation. The company will provide white-label chargers to Meijer while handling installation, operation, and maintenance services.
This expansion marks a significant step in making EV charging more accessible to Midwest drivers, particularly in Ohio's key transportation corridors. The partnership combines Meijer's strategic retail locations with EVgo's expertise in charging infrastructure, creating convenient charging solutions for EV owners while they shop.
