Austin Prock fulfilled a decade-old LinkedIn prophecy by clinching his first NHRA Funny Car championship at age 29. His LinkedIn profile, created at 19, boldly stated he would "set records of my own in the world of motorsports" - a prediction that came true in spectacular fashion.

Starting 2024 without a guaranteed seat, Prock stepped in for Robert Hight at John Force Racing and dominated his rookie Funny Car season. His achievements include:

  • Winning the PRO Superstar Shootout debut at Bradenton
  • Securing 15 No. 1 qualifiers
  • Recording the fourth-quickest run in class history
  • Maintaining an impressive 50-11 win/loss record
  • Winning 7 races, including 3 in the Countdown

The championship victory carries special significance as Prock races alongside his father Jimmy and brother Thomas. Despite the pressure of high expectations, Prock remained focused on perfecting his craft.

"I study my craft every day. Every run I make, I go back and watch the videotape in slow-mo and see things I could do better," Prock explained. "We had the quickest race car and one of the quickest drivers off the starting line, and that's what it takes to win these races."

His triumph marks one of the most dominant seasons in Funny Car history, proving that sometimes the boldest predictions come true through dedication, skill, and family support.
