Hamilton: Vegas GP Win Was Mine to Lose After Qualifying Errors
Lewis Hamilton suggests he would have claimed victory at the Las Vegas Grand Prix if not for qualifying errors on Friday, after Mercedes demonstrated exceptional pace throughout the race weekend.
Mercedes dominated practice sessions and secured pole position through George Russell. However, Hamilton's mistakes in Q3 relegated him to 10th on the grid, forcing him to mount a comeback during Saturday's race.

"If I'd done my job yesterday, it would have been a breeze today," Hamilton reflected. "The car felt the best it ever has. We don't know why we were so quick this weekend, but I'm grateful to have been part of getting it to that point."
Despite starting from P10, Hamilton managed to fight his way through the field to secure a Mercedes one-two finish. He actually found more enjoyment in the recovery drive than he might have experienced leading from pole position.
"That was honestly one of the most enjoyable races," Hamilton explained. "When you face adversity and have to battle through, it just feels so much better when you succeed."
Looking ahead, Hamilton expressed optimism about Mercedes' competitiveness in upcoming races, suggesting they could challenge for victories with their improved car performance.
