IMSA Daytona Test Sees Strong Progress from New GTD Teams and Entries
The IMSA Daytona test has concluded with notable progress from several GTD teams preparing for the 2025 season.

Van der Steur Racing is stepping up to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with their No. 19 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo in the GTD class. The team will compete in all five IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup events with drivers Rory van der Steur and Aston Martin factory driver Valentin Hasse-Clot. During testing, Hasse-Clot impressed by setting the third quickest GTD time in the Saturday night session.
Iron Dames is switching to a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) for 2025, following their historic all-female win at the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship finale in Bahrain. The team, retaining their signature pink livery and No. 83, showed promising potential during testing with Rahel Frey, Karen Gaillard, and team co-owner Claudio Schiavoni behind the wheel. Matteo Cressoni set the second-fastest GTD time of the week on Sunday afternoon.
DXDT Racing is entering their first full-time WeatherTech Championship GTD campaign with the Corvette Z06 GT3.R. The team completed 343 laps during testing with drivers Alec Udell, Salih Yoluc, Charlie Eastwood, and Pipo Derani sharing duties in the No. 36 Corvette.
The 2025 WeatherTech Championship season begins with the Roar Before the Rolex 24 (January 17-19), followed by the Rolex 24 At Daytona (January 23-26).
