NHRA Finals: Beckman, Brown, Anderson and M. Smith Claim Victory at Pomona Season Finale
Jack Beckman secured a thrilling Funny Car victory at the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series finale at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, defeating teammate and world champion Austin Prock in the final round.

Beckman set a personal best of 3.812 seconds at 327.35 mph in his PEAK Chevrolet Camaro SS, marking his second win since replacing John Force in August and his 35th career victory. He advanced to the finals by defeating Terry Haddock, Blake Alexander, and Ron Capps.
In Top Fuel, Antron Brown overcame a 12th-place qualification in his Matco Tools/Toyota dragster to secure victory. He eliminated points leader Justin Ashley with a 3.696-second run at 331.53 mph in the opening round.
Greg Anderson claimed his sixth Pro Stock world championship, tying Warren Johnson and Erica Enders for second-most in the category's history. He defeated KB Titan Racing teammate Dallas Glenn in a decisive final round with a 6.501-second run at 211.13 mph.
Matt Smith concluded the Pro Stock Motorcycle season with a victory over world champion Gaige Herrera, running 6.702 seconds at 202.12 mph on his Denso Auto Parts/Matt Smith Racing Buell. This marked Smith's second win of the season and 41st of his career, securing him second place in the championship standings.
The day's results provided a fitting end to the 59th annual In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, the final event of the 20-race season and the sixth race in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.
