Pro Stock's Dallas Glenn Takes Strategic Break Before Final NHRA Championship Battle in Pomona
Dallas Glenn has deliberately distanced himself from racing thoughts ahead of his potential first NHRA Pro Stock championship at Pomona, choosing to golf and spend time with family in Las Vegas instead.
Glenn enters the finale at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip trailing Aaron Stanfield by 32 points after a first-round exit in Las Vegas two weeks ago. With points-and-a-half awarded at Pomona (30 points per round instead of 20), the championship remains within reach.

Having already achieved a career-best season with five victories and a 46-14 win/loss record, Glenn remains focused on executing eight quality runs rather than overthinking the championship implications. His teammate Greg Anderson sits third in points, 56 behind Stanfield.
Glenn's rapid rise in Pro Stock has been remarkable since transitioning from crew member to driver in 2021. He's accumulated 13 wins since his debut, including three in his rookie season when he finished third in points.
Approaching the finale, Glenn plans to maintain his aggressive driving style while acknowledging the role luck plays in championship outcomes. He expects a tight battle that could come down to the final round against Stanfield's Elite Motorsports team.
"No matter what happens in Pomona, I've got to leave there with my head high," Glenn said. "If I go there and give it everything I got, then I can't complain about anything."
