Starting from eighth position, Day methodically worked his way through the field in his Triple X/Wirth Mopar. He took the lead from Jacob Denney with 17 laps remaining and held on for the win. Buddy Kofoid finished second, while Daison Pursley took third and secured the 2024 USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship.

The victory marked the fifth straight Turkey Night win for a California driver, following Kyle Larson (2019, 2023), Logan Seavey (2021), and Justin Grant (2022). Day's triumph was particularly notable as he used a 20-year-old engine - older than himself - to power his way to victory.

Key race highlights:

  • Jacob Denney led the first 25 laps
  • Buddy Kofoid took command from laps 26-49
  • Denney regained the lead from laps 50-81
  • Day made the winning pass on lap 82
  • Four-time winner Kyle Larson finished 20th after an early incident

Additional achievements:

  • Zach Wigal earned Don Basile Rookie of the Race honors
  • Wigal also secured the Max Papis Innovations USAC National Midget Rookie of the Year
  • Tanner Carrick won hard charger honors, advancing 9 positions to finish 10th
