The Acura Integra Type S has been named the Official Safety Car for this year's event, marking the second time in three years that an Acura will pace the field, following the NSX Type S in 2023.

"We are excited to have Acura and HRC represented for this year's prestigious Rolex 24 in such a significant way," said David Salters, Honda Racing Corporation USA President. "Acura electrified ARX-06 race cars on track, our sleek Acura Integra Type S cars pacing the race, and our Global President of Honda Racing Corporation, Koji Watanabe, all being involved in this legendary race just shows our commitment to this sport."

Watanabe, who became HRC's Global President in 2022, brings 38 years of Honda executive experience to the role. Under his leadership, HRC expanded to include both motorcycle and automotive racing activities. His previous positions included leading Honda's European and Chinese operations, as well as heading global brand development and corporate communications.

The announcement comes from a joint statement by Daytona International Speedway, IMSA, and Honda Racing Corporation, highlighting the strengthening partnership between these organizations in motorsport.
