The Africa Eco Race, running from Monaco to Dakar, has revealed its 2025 entry list featuring 155 participants and 120 vehicles across multiple categories, representing 21 nationalities.

The 5,903 km route includes 3,572 km of timed specials through Morocco, Mauritania, and Senegal, concluding at the iconic Lac Rose.

Key Highlights:

  • Auto Category: Features notable teams including Czech duo Tomas Ourednicek and Lukas Bartak (Toyota Gazoo Racing), and French crew Benoit Fretin and Cedric Duple (Century C6)

  • Moto Category: 78 competitors, including 28 in the Xtreme Rider by Motul "malle moto" class

    • Defending champion Jacopo Cerutti returns on Tuareg Aprilia
    • Alessandro Botturi and Pol Tarres represent Yamaha
    • Two-time winner Pål Anders Ullevålseter makes his return
    • Matteo Bottino debuts the new KOVE 800X Rally LS

Special Features:

  • Historic Category: Showcases vehicles from 1970-2007, including Porsche 911s, MAN Kat1 truck, and Nissan Patrols
  • Raid Class: Allows non-competitive participation via GPS navigation
  • Special Guest: Stéphane Peterhansel joins the Mauritanian stages on Yamaha

The event begins with technical checks in Italy on December 27, followed by the departure ceremony in Monaco on December 28. The rally concludes at Lac Rose, Dakar, on January 12, 2025.
