Allegheny Sprint Tour Unveils Ambitious 30-Race Schedule for 2025 Season

The Allegheny Sprint Tour (AST) has unveiled its most extensive schedule yet for 2025, featuring nearly 30 racing events across five tracks in western Pennsylvania.

The ninth season kicks off with the Chiller Thriller at Michael's Mercer Raceway on March 29, 2025. Mercer Raceway will host 13 events throughout the season, making it the tour's primary venue.

Key Schedule Highlights:

  • Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway returns to the tour (April 12) for the first time since 2017
  • Lernerville Speedway hosts five Sunday events featuring Dirt TV's 3 Wide Special
  • Dog Hollow Speedway presents two non-points races with Laurel Highlands Sprint Series
  • Western PA Sprint Speedweek collaboration at Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway (May 29) and Tri-City Raceway Park (June 1)
  • August features seven events across three tracks, including the Al Priester Memorial and Hawley Memorial
  • Season concludes with the Little Guy Nationals at Mercer Raceway (October 3-4) and Steel City Stampede at Lernerville Speedway (October 10-11)

Notable Additions:

  • Veteran racing journalist DJ Johnson joins AST to manage media relations and sponsorships
  • Additional September events are under negotiation with several tracks
  • Potential for more venues to be added throughout the season
