BMW scored a historic 1-2 finish at the 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour, marking the manufacturer's first victory in the GT3 era of the prestigious endurance race.

The winning WRT BMW M4 GTR was piloted by brothers Kelvin and Sheldon van der Linde alongside Augusto Farfus, who finished 10.25 seconds ahead of their teammates Raffaele Marciello, Charles Weerts, and Valentino Rossi in the sister car.

Strategic fuel management and well-timed safety car periods proved crucial for BMW's success. The team overcame several challenges, including a drive-through penalty for Rossi, who passed a lapped car under yellow flags.

The podium was completed by the 75 Express Mercedes-AMG GT3 driven by Jules Gounon, Luca Stolz, and Kenny Habul, while the Arise Ferrari 296 of Chaz Mostert, Will Brown, and Daniel Serra finished fourth after a late pit stop for fuel.

• Silver Class: No. 93 Wall Racing Lamborghini
• GT4: Adam Christodolou/Daniel Bilksi/Mark Griffith McLaren

The race saw several retirements, including Stephen Grove's Mercedes-AMG after a significant crash that resulted in hospitalization for back injury. Other notable exits included the James Racing Audi and the Team GMR Mercedes, both of which showed strong early pace before encountering issues.

The victory marks a significant milestone for BMW in Australian motorsport, with the van der Linde brothers becoming only the second sibling pair to win at the legendary Mount Panorama circuit.
