Breaking: Toyota Will Exit NHRA Drag Racing After 2025 Season
Toyota will withdraw from NHRA drag racing competition following the 2025 season, concluding a successful 23-year partnership in the sport.

The manufacturer's involvement in NHRA began in 2002, achieving its first victory in March 2004. Throughout its participation, Toyota has accumulated over 200 race wins, 12 world championships, and secured its first manufacturers' cup in 2023. The company has also served as the official car of the NHRA since 2014.
Currently, Toyota Gazoo Racing supports six major partners in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series:
- AB Motorsports: Antron Brown (Top Fuel champion)
- DC Motorsports: Alexis DeJoria (Funny Car)
- Kalitta Motorsports: Doug Kalitta, Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel), and J.R. Todd (Funny Car)
- Ron Capps Motorsports: Ron Capps (Funny Car)
- Torrence Racing: Steve and Billy Torrence (Top Fuel)
- SCAG Racing: Justin Ashley (Top Fuel)
Paul Doleshal, group manager of motorsports at Toyota Motor North America, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting its teams through the 2025 season, ensuring they have the necessary resources to compete at the highest level. Toyota's support includes providing tow vehicles and trackside engineering support and technology to its partner teams.
