Darren Leung, the 2023 British GT Championship winner, has signed with United Autosports to drive their McLaren GT3 Evo in the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship LMGT3 class. This marks Leung's second WEC season, following his successful 2024 campaign with Team WRT in their BMW M4 GT3. During that year, he secured a class win at Imola, achieved a podium finish at Le Mans, and competed for the LMGT3 title. Additionally, he claimed the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup Bronze title with Century Motorsport.
"I am delighted to join United Autosports and McLaren," said Leung. "As a proud Yorkshireman, racing for a Yorkshire-based team makes this opportunity even more special."
United Autosports CEO Richard Dean praised Leung's rapid progression in motorsport over the past four seasons, highlighting his valuable addition to the United Autosports and McLaren Automotive team.
The 2025 WEC season kicks off with the Qatar 1812km on February 28.
