Despite still experiencing pain and being unable to perform his traditional wing dance celebration, Macedo masterfully piloted the Albaugh No. 41 through 25 laps at "The World's Fastest Half Mile." He successfully held off defending champion David Gravel and former NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Larson to secure the victory.

"It's been a humbling few weeks," Macedo reflected after the win. "Not knowing if I was going to be ready to come here or be 100-percent, to win on night one is super emotional."

The victory marked Macedo's 48th career World of Outlaws win and his third at Volusia Speedway Park. David Gravel finished second after climbing from sixth position, while Kyle Larson impressed by advancing from 10th to third place.

Key Race Results:

  • Second: David Gravel (Started 6th)
  • Third: Kyle Larson (Started 10th)

The win serves as a strong statement for Macedo and his Jason Johnson Racing team as they pursue the 2025 World of Outlaws championship, following their second-place points finish in 2024.

The series continues with the second night of the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, marking the first official points race of the 2025 season.
