Compton's inaugural electric vehicle DC fast-charging (DCFC) station has broken ground at the Soledad Center, located at South Central Ave. and Alondra Blvd. The station will be a significant milestone for the city's sustainable transportation infrastructure.

EVgo, America's leading public EV fast charging network, is spearheading the construction project, which is expected to reach completion in early June. Southern California Edison (SCE) will then proceed with site electrification, scheduled for completion in August.

This development marks a crucial step forward in expanding EV charging accessibility in Compton, making electric vehicle ownership more practical for local residents and commuters.
