The 22-year-old driver will serve as 23XI Racing's reserve driver and make his first Cup Series start of the season at Kansas Speedway in May, piloting the No. 67 Toyota with Bootie Barker as crew chief. The deal also includes Xfinity Series appearances with Sam Hunt Racing, beginning at Circuit of The Americas.

Currently competing full-time in the Craftsman Truck Series for Tricon Garage, Heim has accumulated 12 wins in 66 starts. His Cup Series experience includes three races in 2024, two as a substitute for Erik Jones and one in a third 23XI Racing car at Nashville.

"It's a dream come true to be a part of 23XI," said Heim. "I'm blessed to have the chance to compete in all three series as I continue to set my sights on full-time Cup racing."

Steve Lauletta, 23XI Racing president, praised Heim's talent and work ethic, confirming the team will provide full resources to support his development within the Toyota family.

In the Xfinity Series, Heim has demonstrated promise with four top-10 finishes in 13 starts last season, bringing his total to 17 starts over two seasons. He remains an active member of the Toyota Driver Development Program.

Sam Hunt, owner of Sam Hunt Racing, expressed enthusiasm about continuing their partnership with Heim, noting their strong past performances and shared commitment to achieving their first organizational win while developing Heim's career.
