Curt Spalding Claims First Career Gator Championship at UMP Modified DIRTcar Nationals

Curt Spalding dominated the 54th Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, securing both his first Gator Championship and the overall points title for 2025.

The Watervliet, MI driver outmaneuvered tough competitors David Stremme and Kyle Strickler in the 34-car field. After taking the lead from Stremme in the first third of the Feature, Spalding maintained his position using the bottom lane strategy, ultimately winning by a margin of one and a half seconds.

Will Krup finished second after an impressive late-race charge, passing both Kenny Wallace and Kyle Strickler. Cole Falloway showcased remarkable skill by advancing from 19th to secure third place, adding to his impressive DIRTcar Nationals performance that included five Golden Gators and top-five finishes in every Feature.

Kyle Strickler and Kenny Wallace rounded out the top five in fourth and fifth places respectively.

"This is for the old guys," Spalding remarked after his victory. "I had a good hot rod. The door was open, and I just took it. I wasn't gonna sit back and wait."
