Dirt Legends Alan Johnson & Jimmy Horton Inducted to EMPA Hall of Fame
The Eastern Motorsport Press Association (EMPA) has announced its 2025 Hall of Fame inductees ahead of the 52nd EMPA Convention at the Holiday Inn in Wilkes-Barre, PA, January 10-13.

The 2025 Hall of Fame class includes:
- Mark 'Bones' Bourcier: Distinguished motorsports journalist known for his work in Speedway Scene, Speed Sport, and various racing publications
- Jimmy Horton III: Dirt Modified champion with 466 career wins across multiple racing disciplines
- Alan Johnson: Accomplished racer with 439 wins at 39 different tracks and two-time EMPA Richie Evans Memorial Northeast Dirt Driver of the Year
- Steve Park: Notable racer who succeeded in Northeast pavement Modifieds, ARCA, and NASCAR
- Don 'The Snake' Prudhomme: Four-time NHRA Funny Car champion
- Sammy Swindell: Three-time World of Outlaws champion with 394 A-main wins

The convention will feature press conferences, workshops, and guest speakers, including keynote speaker Paul Page, "Voice of The 500." The event concludes with the Hall of Fame dinner and awards ceremony.
