D.J. Netto Leads Wire-to-Wire in NARC Season Opener at Stockton
D.J. Netto dominated the 2025 NARC 410 sprint car season opener at the Stockton Dirt Track, leading all 30 laps to claim victory at the Salute to Leroy Van Conett event.

Two dirt track racers competing
Driving the Penny Newman Green-sponsored Netto Ag No. 88n, Netto set a new track record in qualifying and won the Beacon Wealth Strategies dash to secure pole position. Despite heavy traffic and pressure from reigning champion Justin Sanders, Netto maintained control until Sanders spun out with six laps remaining while avoiding a lapped car.
Shane Golobic finished second in the NOS Energy Drink No. 17w, followed by Sean Becker in third. Kaleb Montgomery made an impressive charge from 15th to finish fourth, while Andy Forsberg rounded out the top five.
Tim Kaeding earned the Williams Roofing Hard Charger award, advancing from 21st to finish sixth in the Williams Motorsports No. 0.
The event honored Stockton-native Van Conett, an eight-time NARC champion and National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee, who attended the race at age 90.
