Evans Sets Sights on 2025 GT4 European Series Championship
American racer Erik Evans sets his sights on the 2025 GT4 European Series championship, backed by Multimatic and Ford Performance.

After finishing eighth overall in the 2024 season, Evans will focus exclusively on the GT4 European Series, starting April 12-12, 2025, at Circuit Paul Ricard in France. The decision comes after splitting efforts between European and British GT4 Championships in 2024.
"This series is the hardest and most challenging GT4 championship in the world," Evans explains. "Ford and Multimatic Motorsports are putting faith in me, Academy Motorsport, and my teammate Marco Signoretti to win this championship."
Academy Motorsport team boss Matt Nicoll-Jones acknowledges the progress made with the new Ford Mustang S650 GT4: "We learned so much in our first season. By year's end, we were fighting for outright wins."

Race car on track at speed
Despite being new to all European circuits in 2024, Evans and the team achieved impressive results, including multiple podiums and race leads. The 2025 campaign brings optimism with new car upgrades developed through extensive testing.
As part of the Ford Performance Development Program, Evans's ultimate goal extends beyond GT4: "The goal is to become a manufacturer factory driver and compete in major races like the 24 Hours of Daytona, Le Mans, and Spa."
With new vehicle systems in place and growing team confidence, Evans eagerly anticipates the six-round 2025 season. "Everyone here feels extremely good about the season. We got a couple of new upgrades to the car, and I'm quite excited about it."
