EVgo and Chevron have partnered to install fast-charging stations at select Chevron gas stations across California, marking a significant shift in traditional fuel providers embracing electric vehicle infrastructure.

The first installation is already operational in Menlo Park, featuring chargers with up to 100 kW capacity. Additional stations are under construction in Los Angeles and Bay Area locations, including:

  • Aliso Viejo
  • Manhattan Beach
  • Venice

The initiative represents a strategic move by Chevron to adapt to the growing EV market while allowing EVgo to expand its charging network through established fueling locations. This partnership helps normalize EV charging alongside traditional fuel services, making electric vehicle adoption more convenient for consumers.

"EVgo is helping everyone -- including traditional fueling stations -- take advantage of the benefits of EV adoption," stated EVgo CEO Cathy Zoi, highlighting the company's commitment to expanding charging accessibility.

These fast-charging stations will provide EV drivers with convenient charging options while running errands or during travel, effectively combining the familiar gas station model with modern EV infrastructure needs.
