Pro Stock racing returns to Fonda Speedway on Saturday, July 26, featuring two prestigious events: the 20th Hondo Classic and 4th Annual Bobco Memorial Dash for Cash.

The 29-lap Leatherstocking Credit Union Pro Stock feature honors Hondo Carpenter, a beloved racer who claimed five Street Stock and four Pro Stock victories at Fonda before his passing in 2005. Known for his fan-friendly demeanor, Carpenter's legacy continues through this event organized by Kelley and Kaitlyn Keefe since 2006.

The Bobco Memorial Dash honors Bob James, Fonda Speedway's official videographer for over 25 years. James, who partnered with Hondo Carpenter in race car ownership, was known for his exceptional racing coverage at multiple speedways. The speedway's video tower, "The Bobco Video Terrace," stands as a tribute to his contributions. Previous Bobco Dash winners include Nick Stone (2022), Kenny Gates (2023), and AJ Walters (2024).

Fonda Speedway, operating since 1953, continues its tradition of excellence in stock car racing at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, hosting weekly Saturday night races from April through August, plus special events.
