General Motors and EVgo have joined forces in a landmark partnership to accelerate electric vehicle adoption across the United States. The collaboration will add 2,700 new fast charging stations over the next five years, effectively tripling EVgo's current network size.

EVgo, the nation's largest public fast charging network, currently operates more than 800 charging locations across 66 markets in 34 states, serving over 200,000 customers. The expansion aims to make electric vehicle charging more accessible and convenient for American drivers.

This strategic partnership demonstrates both companies' commitment to sustainable transportation and addresses one of the main barriers to EV adoption: charging infrastructure. The new fast chargers will be installed in highly accessible locations, including shopping centers, grocery stores, and other popular destinations.

The initiative represents a significant step forward in creating a more robust charging infrastructure that can support the growing number of electric vehicles on American roads. By making fast charging more widely available, GM and EVgo are working to eliminate range anxiety and make electric vehicles a practical choice for more consumers.
