Scelzi, son of four-time NHRA champion Gary Scelzi, brings his father's winning mentality to the track: "Racing isn't fun, winning is fun." With KCP Racing's resources, equipment, and personnel, the team believes they have everything needed to compete at the highest level.

Their partnership began in mid-2020, and Scelzi earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2023. The 2024 season showed significant improvement with three wins, including a NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals preliminary victory. Scelzi also led the World of Outlaws points standings early in the season.
Looking ahead to 2025, Scelzi emphasizes the importance of consistency throughout the entire season, from February to November. The team will begin their championship pursuit at Volusia Speedway Park's Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals on February 5-8, 2025.
"If your goal is not to win a World of Outlaws championship, you really shouldn't be racing," states Scelzi, highlighting the team's determination to reach the pinnacle of sprint car racing.
