Grandview and Big Diamond Speedways Announce Major Rule Changes for 2025 Season

Racing Rules Update: Grandview & Big Diamond Speedway Changes for 2025

Major changes are coming to both Grandview and Big Diamond Speedways for the 2025 racing season. Here are the key updates that affect competitors:

Key Rule Changes:

  • Left side pan hard bar suspension eliminated for 358 Modified and 602 Sportsman races
  • Wheel covers must be bolted on or secured under bead lock ring
  • Third circuit carburetors prohibited
  • Lithium batteries banned for safety reasons
  • DIRT-approved race car body panels temporarily allowed

Additional Updates:

  • Freedom 76 tire compounds changed to right rear 48 or 50 only (53 compound eliminated)
  • Engine sealing available for Modified teams ($200)
  • 602 engines can be rebuilt at KB Performance under RUSH Racing supervision

Track Improvements:

  • 64 tri-axle loads of fresh clay added to racing surface
  • Facility upgrades completed during fall 2024

2025 Special Events:

  • April 5: 63rd Opening Night - Bruce Rogers Memorial
  • May 20: High Limit Racing 410 Sprint Car Series
  • June 17: USAC National Sprint Car Series Eastern Storm
  • July 1: Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Car SpeedWeek Series
  • July 12: 55th Sportsman FIRECRACKER 40
  • August 9: 55th Modified FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL 50
  • September 19: 12th Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship
  • September 20: 55th Freedom 76 Modified Championship
