Haas Will Fix 'Too Aggressive' Bodywork Design Before Melbourne GP
Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu has addressed the team's recent bodywork issues, confirming they will be resolved before the Australian Grand Prix. The problems emerged after the team took an overly aggressive approach with their 2025 car design.

The VF-25 experienced two significant failures: Esteban Ocon lost a right sidepod cover during the Silverstone filming day, and Oliver Bearman faced a detached engine cover during pre-season testing. These incidents significantly impacted the team's testing program, with Bearman losing 75% of his morning session due to the bodywork issues.
"It's just that we were too aggressive, we know the reason why," Komatsu explained. "We will fix it for Melbourne. The modification we made compared to last year was just too aggressive."
Despite the setbacks during pre-season testing, where the team was working to prepare two new drivers, Komatsu remains optimistic about Haas's competitive position. He believes the team has the pace to compete with Williams and Alpine in the midfield battle.
"I think we are in the ballpark," Komatsu stated. "It's so tight, but at least I think we are in the mixture somewhere."
The team principal expressed full confidence in resolving these issues before the Australian Grand Prix, where Haas will look to demonstrate their true potential with a properly functioning car.
