Several IMSA GTP teams are preparing to compete in the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours, potentially expanding the Hypercar field significantly.

Porsche is set to field up to five 963s, including three factory cars from Porsche Penske Motorsport (one earned through their 2024 IMSA GTP title win) and a potential additional entry from Proton Competition.

Cadillac's presence could grow to four V-Series.Rs, with Wayne Taylor Racing and Action Express Racing each seeking to enter one car alongside Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA's two confirmed entries. This would mark WTR's Le Mans debut, made possible by their switch from Acura to Cadillac.

Action Express Racing's Gary Nelson expressed enthusiasm about a potential third consecutive Le Mans appearance, planning to bring two cars - one as a spare that would return to the US for the Watkins Glen race.

In the LMGT3 category, Corvette will be represented by TF Sport through their WEC program and AWA, the latter qualifying through Orey Fidani's Bob Akin Award victory in 2024. AWA has purchased a second chassis specifically for Le Mans, and will collaborate with TF Sport for tools and equipment.

These developments signal a strong American presence at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours, particularly in the top Hypercar category.
