
John Moore Clinches Thrilling Trans Am West Victory in Buttonwillow Photo Finish
In a thrilling first-ever Trans Am race at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, John Moore secured a remarkable victory with just a 0.277-second margin over Ken Sutherland, marking his first career Trans Am win. The March 16 event featured intense competition in both the TA Cup class and CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series.

Moore, driving the No. 27 JM Environmental Ford Mustang, led from pole position to checkered flag in the TA Cup class debut. Despite Sutherland briefly taking the lead on the final lap, Moore regained position after Sutherland's front-straight tire spin. Derek Thorn, in his Trans Am debut, finished an impressive third, less than a tenth of a second behind Sutherland.
In the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series, defending champion Brody Goble triumphantly returned to competition, piloting his No. 69 Brown Bros Ford Lincoln Ford Mustang to victory. Mia Lovell, in her Western Championship debut, claimed second place, while Barry Boes rounded out the podium.
