"Stay focused and tune out any distractions that make you feel like you're not good enough," Keselowski told his team at Phoenix Raceway, following their early exit from the race due to a multi-car crash on lap 99.
Despite challenging results, including finishing outside the top 25 in three of the first four races, Keselowski remains optimistic about his team's potential. His best finish so far was 15th at Circuit of The Americas.
Currently 33rd in the standings heading into Las Vegas, Keselowski acknowledges the team faces additional challenges with recent organizational changes, including:
- A new crew chief, Jeremy Bullins
- Expansion to a third car
- Adapting to dynamic changes after three steady seasons
As both driver and co-owner, Keselowski emphasizes that leadership and confidence are crucial for team success. "I'm confident that we've got a big stretch in front of us here with seven or eight races we can win any of them," he stated, noting that the team isn't struggling with speed or car comfort issues.
"To me, this sport is about capitalizing when you have good fortune and shaking it off when you have bad fortune," Keselowski explained, expressing confidence that better results will come with proper execution and improved circumstances.
The team's potential remains strong, with Keselowski emphasizing that execution and avoiding misfortune are the key factors needed to achieve better results in upcoming races.
