Kevin Magnussen Joins BMW Works Driver Program for 2025 Hypercar Campaign

This marks Magnussen's second venture into top-class sports cars, following his successful 2021 season with Cadillac in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, where he secured one victory and five podium finishes. He also competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year in LMP2 alongside his father, Jan Magnussen.
Andreas Roos, head of BMW M Motorsport, praised Magnussen's decade-long Formula 1 experience and previous sports car prototype racing as valuable assets to their program. BMW will announce their complete driver lineup for both IMSA and WEC programs at a later date.
Magnussen expressed enthusiasm about joining BMW M Motorsport: "I am happy and proud to represent such an iconic motorsport brand as BMW in some of the world's most legendary races. After 10 years in Formula 1, I am embarking on a new and exciting chapter and look forward to taking on the challenge in the most innovative and advanced sports cars in the history of endurance racing."
