Kyle Larson: Four Seasons and 23 Wins Later at Hendrick, Still Hungry for More
Kyle Larson enters his fifth season with Hendrick Motorsports as one of NASCAR's most dominant drivers, having achieved remarkable success since joining the team in 2021. His transition from Chip Ganassi Racing to Hendrick has proven transformative for his career.

In his first season with Hendrick, Larson captured 10 wins and the series championship. He's since added 13 more victories, bringing his total to 23 wins in four seasons. This makes him the most successful Cup Series driver since 2021, with teammate William Byron trailing at 12 wins.
Comparing his tenure at both teams reveals striking differences:
- Ganassi Racing (219 races): 6 wins, no Championship 4 appearances
- Hendrick Motorsports (143 races): 23 wins, multiple Championship 4 appearances, 1 championship
The 32-year-old driver's 2024 season showcased his continued dominance, leading the series with six victories despite missing one race and maintaining a 12.9 average finish.
"It's nice to show up to the racetrack pretty much every week and know you've got a shot to win," Larson reflects. "Back when I first started, there were only a handful of races throughout the year where I felt like I could maybe win."
Under the mentorship of Rick Hendrick and Jeff Gordon, Larson has evolved into a complete driver. While he sometimes wishes he'd joined Hendrick sooner, he acknowledges how his time at Ganassi shaped him into a more well-rounded competitor.
Looking ahead, Larson remains focused on adding to his impressive statistics and securing more championships, with no signs of slowing down as he continues to set the standard in NASCAR's top series.
