Kyler Johnson, 21, is preparing for his fourth consecutive season on the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Tour in 2025. The Quinter, Kansas native aims to secure his first Feature win, building on his impressive record of five top-five finishes and 26 top-10s over the past three years.

Johnson's Sprint Car journey began at age 19, progressing from 305 Sprint Cars to 360 Sprint Cars. His career highlights include a third-place finish at 81 Speedway in 2023 and a strong fourth-place showing at Red Dirt Raceway in early 2024.

Despite fewer top-10 finishes in 2024, Johnson has shown significant growth in race craft and team development. The team's engine program has particularly improved, crucial for weekly qualifying events.

Racing runs in Johnson's blood as a third-generation driver. His grandfather Jon raced Sprint Cars in the 1970s and 1980s, while his father, Cody "C.J." Johnson, earned six NCRA championships between 2000 and 2015. C.J. now serves as one of Kyler's crew chiefs, bringing valuable experience in setup and points racing strategy.

Johnson has learned extensively from veteran drivers, including Jason Martin, Matt Covington, and Sam Hafertepe Jr. He particularly values the mentorship of Covington, with whom he frequently exchanges ideas to improve his program.

The young driver will begin his 2025 campaign in the BK Trucking, Don Ott Racing Engines-powered Maxim Chassis No. 45x at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, OK, on Saturday, April 12. Tickets will be available at the gate, with live streaming available on DIRTVision.
