Lamborghini plans to adopt a more focused approach to customer GT racing when introducing the new Temerario GT3, according to technical director Rouven Mohr.

"We want to concentrate more on performance-oriented teams where the ambition fits ours," Mohr explained. "Less is more. We'll provide maximum support to fewer teams than in the past."

This strategy shift follows Lamborghini's successful 2024 season with the Huracan GT3 EVO II, which secured both the British GT Championship with Barwell Motorsport and the DTM championship with SSR Performance.

The Temerario GT3 will see a phased introduction into key championships across Europe, Asia, and North America. Final team selections and race programs will be determined after Q3 2025, during the car's testing phase.

While a debut at the 2026 IMSA Rolex 24 At Daytona remains a possibility, Mohr emphasized they won't rush the car's introduction: "We are not going to Daytona if we have too many problems we know about. To start at Daytona with a new car is a tough challenge."

Regarding FIA WEC's LMGT3 class participation, Mohr indicated this would depend on their LMDh program: "It's not for granted that you can run the GT3 without LMDh. We will go step by step."

For 2025, Lamborghini will maintain its presence in GT World Challenge Europe's Pro class and compete in both Intercontinental GT Challenge 24-hour races at Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring in June. The manufacturer also confirmed its commitment to the DTM program following their 2024 championship victory.
