The program enters 2025 under new leadership, with Maurizio Leschiutta recently appointed as Lamborghini Squadra Corse's motorsport boss. This transition comes at a crucial time as the manufacturer evaluates its future racing strategy.

The SC63's development faced early setbacks in 2023 when the first test chassis was damaged at Paul Ricard, affecting the car's preparation for both IMSA and FIA WEC competitions. Despite challenges, there were promising moments in 2024, including both cars finishing at Le Mans and showing competitive pace at Fuji and Indianapolis.

Driver Edoardo Mortara acknowledges current uncertainties about competitiveness but highlights the car's reliability as a strong point. "The car has been proven to be quite reliable, especially for a first-year LMDh car," he notes, while identifying weight as an ongoing challenge.

Mirko Bortolotti, who will share the No. 63 with Daniil Kvyat for the full Endurance Cup, emphasizes finishing the race as the primary goal. "To be realistic, the target would be to have a clean race without issues. Bringing it home would be a success, like we did at Le Mans," he explains.

With Riley now providing technical support in Florida and Leschiutta expected to outline the project's future direction soon, the Rolex 24 represents a crucial opportunity for Lamborghini to demonstrate the SC63's potential and secure the program's future development.
