Matthew Brabham Clinches Victory in Trans Am's Dramatic Road Atlanta Race
Matthew Brabham secured a remarkable victory in the Trans Am Series race at Road Atlanta, stepping in as a substitute driver for Chris Dyson in the No. 16 GYM WEED Ford Mustang. This marks his first TA class win since 2023.

The race was marked by significant attrition among top competitors. Initial leader Brent Crews, who set a track record in qualifying, retired with transmission issues. Paul Menard, who had worked his way into contention, later went off track after a major lockup.
Brabham took the lead after Crews' retirement and maintained control despite pressure from his competitors. The race finished under yellow conditions following multiple incidents, with Adam Andretti taking second and David Pintaric claiming third.
In other classes:
- XGT: Paul Tracy dominated from start to finish in his No. 10 Race Cars For You/Innovation IRC GT
- SGT: Joshua Carlson led wire-to-wire in his No. 36 Enseva Ford Mustang
- GT: Chris Coffey secured his second victory of the season in the No. 97 Maserati MC GT4
- GT1 Challenge: Rob Dickey won in his Trans Am debut in the No. 64 Chevrolet Camaro
