In his new role, Alunni Bravi will lead several critical areas:

  • Legal matters
  • Driver development program
  • Commercial operations
  • Driver contract management
  • Rights holders and governing body relations

The appointment brings changes to McLaren's structure, with Stephanie Carlin shifting to expanded responsibilities within the Formula 1 team under team principal Andrea Stella.

"McLaren is a team I have been a huge fan of my whole life," said Alunni Bravi, expressing enthusiasm for joining an organization he believes "sets the benchmark in F1 both on and off the track."

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown highlighted the strategic importance of the appointment, noting that Alunni Bravi's extensive motorsport background will benefit not only the F1 team but all of McLaren's racing operations. His expertise will particularly strengthen the team's relationships with racing governance bodies and rights holders across various series.

The move follows Alunni Bravi's recent departure from Sauber, where he served as both managing director and team representative. He begins his new position at McLaren in February 2025.
