McLaren Formula E signs Alex Dunne as Reserve and Development Driver
Formula E racer Alex Dunne has been appointed as NEOM McLaren's reserve and development driver for the 2025 season, replacing Taylor Barnard who moved to a race seat.

Dunne joins through McLaren's driver development program, following other junior drivers like Ugo Ugochukwu, Bianca Bustamante, and Ella Lloyd who previously tested for the Formula E team.
The young driver brings impressive credentials, including:
- A podium finish in FIA Formula 3 (2024)
- Runner-up in GB3 championship with three wins (2023)
- British Formula 4 champion with 11 victories (2022)
- Second place in Italian F4 with three wins (2022)
- Two wins and sixth overall in UAE F4 (2022)
"Working with NEOM McLaren as part of my experience in the McLaren Driver Development program is an excellent opportunity to hone my skills," said Dunne. "I'm looking forward to doing what I can to support the team and learn as much as possible."
