In recognition of these efforts, Connect the Watts™ launched the National EV Charging Recognition Program in September 2022, honoring organizations that excel in deploying reliable fast-charging infrastructure.

The inaugural EV Charging Heroes, announced in January, include outstanding performers across three categories:

The next award cycle is scheduled for early 2024, with EVgo planning to announce recognition criteria for each sector before opening applications. These awards highlight organizations making substantial contributions to EV infrastructure development and environmental sustainability.
