Moran Charges from 8th to Win DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia
Devin Moran secured his sixth victory at Volusia Speedway Park during Friday's Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, showcasing remarkable skill by advancing from eighth position to claim the win.

Three dirt track racecars competing
Starting from the outside of the fourth row, Moran masterfully worked his way through the field on the technical track. The race's dynamics shifted when early leader Ricky Thornton Jr. and Ethan Dotson made contact, creating an opportunity for Moran to advance. With 16 laps remaining in the 35-lap Feature, Moran executed a decisive slider on Thornton to take the lead.
Jonathan Davenport mounted a late charge, reducing Moran's three-second lead to less than a second at the white flag but couldn't complete the pass. Thornton recovered from his earlier incident to finish third, maintaining his Big Gator points lead by 39 points over Davenport with one night of racing remaining.
Notable performances included Garrett Alberson's fourth-place finish, marking his third top-five of DIRTcar Nationals, and Ryan Gustin completing the top five. Dennis Erb Jr. earned the FOX Factory Hard Charger Award, advancing from 26th to 12th position.
The DIRTcar Nationals concludes Saturday with a 50-lap, $20,000-to-win World of Outlaws Late Models Feature that will determine the Big Gator champion.
