The inspection revealed violations of Sections 14.1C&D&S and Rule 14.5.8.A, specifically related to unauthorized modifications of the car's spoiler and single-source supplied parts.

Key penalties include:

  • 4-race suspension for crew chief James Small (through March 16 Las Vegas race)
  • 100 points deduction for both team and driver Chase Briscoe
  • 10 playoff points deduction
  • $100,000 fine

Briscoe, who finished fourth in the Daytona 500, will face significant championship implications due to these penalties.

Additional penalties were issued to Front Row Motorsports (No. 34) and Rick Ware Racing (No. 51), with both teams losing 10 team and driver points for unsecured ballast violations during qualifying.
