Racing teams face logistical challenges for NASCAR's first international Cup Series point race in over 60 years, with a tight schedule between Michigan, Mexico City, and Pocono in June 2024.

The schedule includes Michigan on June 8, Mexico City on June 15, and Pocono the following week. Teams will coordinate a complex transportation plan through Laredo, Texas, where they'll swap inventory before heading to Mexico's Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, a 2.674-mile, 17-turn road course.
NASCAR Senior VP Ben Kennedy outlined the logistical framework:
- Xfinity Series haulers arrive in Texas on Monday
- Cup Series haulers arrive on Tuesday
- Equipment unloading begins Friday at the track
Rock-It-Cargo, experienced in handling logistics for major international events including Formula 1, Taylor Swift tours, and Olympic games, will manage equipment transportation. The process will be similar to F1's operations in Mexico, which involves moving 200 sea containers from Veracruz to Mexico City.
The event has generated significant interest, with over 40,000 fans pre-registering for tickets. Cup Series drivers Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, and Daniel Suarez attended the media launch event, marking NASCAR's return to Mexico since the 2008 Xfinity Series race.
Track officials expect a near-sellout crowd, with strong ticket demand from both U.S. and Mexican fans for this historic NASCAR Cup Series event.
