Pierce Dominates World of Outlaws Late Model Opener at Smoky Mountain
Bobby Pierce dominated the Tennessee Tipoff at Smoky Mountain Speedway, leading every lap to claim his first World of Outlaws Late Models victory of 2025. The win marked the first time a Midwest driver has won at the track in 11 previous WoO LM events.

Starting from the outside front row, Pierce took command early and maintained his lead despite pressure from Jonathan Davenport, who charged from eighth to second place within the first nine laps.

"Superman" Davenport made several attempts to overtake Pierce in the closing laps of the 35-lap feature, but the narrowing racing groove limited passing opportunities. Pierce held on for the win, taking the series points lead by 12 markers over Nick Hoffman.

Dale McDowell finished fourth in his first start of the year, with Devin Moran rounding out the top five. The victory demonstrated Pierce's versatility on unfamiliar terrain, positioning him well for a potential second championship in three years.
