Rajah Caruth secured his first career NASCAR Truck Series victory at Nashville Superspeedway, successfully defending against a fierce challenge from Corey Heim in the closing laps.
Leading 58 laps in the No. 71 Chevrolet, the 21-year-old Caruth became the third Black driver to win a NASCAR national series race, joining Wendell Scott and Bubba Wallace. His historic win came after masterfully managing the race's final restart with just four laps remaining.
Heim, who led for 47 laps and showed dominant speed throughout the night, finished second in his No. 11 Toyota. Christian Eckes claimed third place, while Taylor Gray and Carson Hocevar rounded out the top five.
This victory marks a significant milestone for Caruth, who started his racing career in iRacing simulators before transitioning to real-world competition. The win also propels him into championship contention, demonstrating his rapid development as a competitive force in NASCAR's Truck Series.
The race featured multiple cautions and intense battles throughout the field, with track position proving crucial on Nashville's 1.33-mile concrete oval. Several championship contenders faced challenges during the event, reshaping the playoff landscape as the season progresses.
