Pit crew excellence drives Heim to NASCAR Truck Series victory at Las Vegas

Corey Heim overcame a pit road speeding penalty to win the Ecosave 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, thanks to exceptional pit crew performance.

A crucial pit stop under caution on lap 86 put Heim's No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota in the lead. He took the lead for good on Lap 101 and led a race-high 42 of 134 laps, securing his second victory of the season and 13th career win.

The race, marked by unusually cold weather and two rain delays, saw Heim defeat Grant Enfinger by 0.825 seconds. Enfinger managed to climb to second place after passing Tanner Gray late in the race but couldn't close the gap to Heim.

The event set new records with 21 lead changes among 12 drivers. Two red-flag periods for rain lasted nearly 76 minutes combined, with delays occurring after each of the first two stages.

Tyler Ankrum won Stage 2 and finished 10th, while Stewart Friesen, Rajah Caruth, Chandler Smith, and Matt Crafton rounded out positions 6-9.
