Ransomville Speedway Celebrates Champions at Annual Awards Banquet

In late 2024, Ransomville Speedway celebrated their track champions at the annual Awards Banquet, recognizing outstanding achievements across multiple racing divisions.

Cody McPherson earned Driver of the Year honors, securing his second Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman track championship with six victories in 11 races. Andrew Sittler received Owner of the Year for the 358 Modified division.

Notable awards included:

  • Pat Spina Mechanic of the Year: Kirk Tuttle
  • Trevor Wilkins Hard Charger Award: Mat Williamson
  • Ray MacIver Sportsmanship Award: Sherwood Racing
  • Performance Award: Ryan Susice
  • Award of Excellence: Justin Schwab
  • Above and Beyond Award: Dylan Wolfe
  • Key Player Award: April Matson

Division Champions:

  • Krown Undercoating Modified: Mat Williamson (fourth consecutive title)
  • Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman: Cody McPherson
  • KiPo Chevrolet Street Stock: Mike Welch
  • Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stock: Ryan "Mr. Peanut" Plante
  • Kevin's Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman: Nigel Pendykoski

Rookies of the Year were Nelson Mason (358 Modifieds) and Mike Kramarz (Sportsman). Noah Walker, Jake Bansmer, Butch Zimmerman, and Jeffrey Wynes earned Most Improved Driver honors.

Race Director John Nelson announced his retirement to spend time with family. The speedway management expressed gratitude to staff, competitors, and fans for their continued support throughout the season.

Ransomville Speedway, located 20 minutes from Niagara Falls, continues to operate as a 3/8th-mile DIRTcar sanctioned facility, hosting regular racing events and special programs including the Summer Nationals.
