Roadrunners Set for Historic 35th Season at Big Diamond Speedway

The Roadrunners are celebrating their 35th season at Big Diamond Speedway in 2025, continuing their legacy as one of the most thrilling racing divisions at the 3/8-mile oval.

The 2024 season showcased intense competition, with eight of the top 10 drivers securing feature victories. Alex Schoffstall led with six wins and set a new all-time class record of 34 career victories. Andrew Fayash III claimed his third championship through consistent performance, matching Dean Ulsh's record for most titles.

Notable performances included:

  • Kris Ney: Third place overall with one victory
  • Chuck Fayash: Fourth place with three wins, including the inaugural Full Fender Frenzy
  • Mike Reichert: Fifth place with three victories
  • Jim Kost: Sixth place with one win and nine heat race victories
  • Jarod Bassininsky: Breakthrough season with three first-time career wins

The 2025 season kicks off with an open practice session on Sunday, March 30 (noon to 4:00 pm), followed by the 53rd Season Opener "Thaw Brawl" on April 4 at 7:15 pm. The opener features:

  • 358 Modifieds ($4053 prize)
  • 602 Crate Sportsman ($1053 prize)
  • Roadrunners ($453 prize)
  • Big Creek Concrete 602 Crate Sportsman

  • April 11, 7:15 pm: Money in the Mountains/Fritz Roehrig Memorial featuring Modifieds 50 laps ($10,000 prize), 602 Crate Sportsman ($1000 prize), Roadrunners, and Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman
