Off-road racing legend Robby Gordon returns to Parker 400 in his iconic "Black Diamond" Ford Trophy-Truck, marking a significant homecoming for both driver and machine. The reunion takes place at the opening round of the 2025 Unlimited Off-Road Racing series.

Gordon will share driving duties with current owner Mark Post and Gordon's son Max in the three-lap race. The truck, designed by Gordon in the early 1990s, revolutionized off-road racing with innovative features including internal bypass shocks, swing set steering, and removable brake rotor hats.

Built without modern CAD or waterjet machines, the hand-crafted machine dominated the 1996 SCORE season, securing four overall wins and the Trophy-Truck championship. The truck has since been updated with an 1,100 horsepower Joe Gibbs Racing engine and Masonmatic sequential gearbox while maintaining its original chassis and suspension design.

Black Diamond's impressive racing history includes 19 overall wins across multiple sanctioning bodies, including victories in SCORE, BITD, and NORRA events from 1994 to 2019. This weekend's race marks another chapter in the legendary truck's storied career.

The Parker 400 kicks off the 2025 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series, which includes the Mint 400 (March), Reno 600 (April), and California 300 (October).
