Rudolph Claims First DIRTcar Nationals Victory, Yankowski Captures Big Gator Title

Erick Rudolph broke his 11-year DIRTcar Nationals drought at Volusia Speedway Park, claiming victory in Saturday's Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals finale. Starting from 11th position, Rudolph masterfully worked his way to the front within the first 25 laps of the 50-lap feature.

After nine podium finishes in 37 starts at Volusia, Rudolph finally secured his first gator trophy. The Ransomville, NY driver executed decisive passes on both Rick Laubach and Larry Wight to take control of the race, maintaining his lead despite late-race cautions.

Mat Williamson finished second, followed by Matt Sheppard in third. Alex Payne impressed with a fourth-place finish after starting 15th, while Rick Laubach rounded out the top five.

Alex Yankowski made history as the first Pennsylvania driver to win the DIRTcar Nationals Big Gator trophy. His consistent performance throughout the week, including a win and multiple top-five finishes, helped him edge out Williamson by three points in the final standings.
